Integrated national financing frameworks: A short and practical Introduction

This short and practical introduction to INFFs was jointly developed by UN DESA and UNDP, based on the INFF guidance by the Inter-agency Task Force (IATF) on Financing for Development.

The report provides a simple introduction to the world of INFFs by laying out major features, its origins and definition, as well as the current state of INFF implementation worldwide. The report gives readers an overview of the individual INFF building blocks, including country examples and good practices in implementation. It also introduces the INFF Facility and redirects to useful resources, FAQs and guidelines to support those embarking on their INFF journey.

This introduction should serve as an ‘executive summary’ to the complete INFF global guidance series. As more countries move forward with INFF implementation, UN DESA and UNDP will incorporate lessons learnt and country feedback as well as updates to the global guidance into the short and practical introduction.
